March 11 Santiago junior Megan Dudek prepares to leave and fly to Indianapolis after receiving an offer to perform as part of the Jazz Band of America. Jazz Band of America is a prestigious honor band that features various jazz students from around the nation.

Smoke Detector Set Off Before School

March 7. Santiago High School fire alarms were set off before school began as two students had set off the smoke detectors in the T building bathroom through second hand drug smoke. The alarm rang for approximately 10 minutes as administration traced the source of the problem.

Hollywood Knights is a fundraising company that gets celebrity guests to participate in basketball games against students and staff at schools to raise money. Feb. 10 in the late afternoon, Santiago High school had a group of celebrities playing against staff members.
